I’m Astrobloke — an astrophotographer and content creator with a passion for capturing the wonders of the night sky.
What began as curiosity has grown into a lifelong pursuit: photographing objects millions of light-years away, revealing intricate detail hidden in darkness, and continually refining the techniques that make it possible. Every clear night brings a new challenge, and that’s what keeps me coming back for more.
Over the years, I’ve developed a wealth of experience with different telescopes, cameras, imaging setups and processing techniques. I share what I’ve learned along the way — the successes, the challenges and the practical knowledge that comes from spending countless hours under the stars.
Why I Do This
Astrophotography can be a steep learning curve. Whether you’re just starting out or have years of experience, there’s always something new to learn, a problem to solve or another way to improve your images.
My aim is to make that journey easier by sharing practical knowledge, honest experiences and techniques that help you get more from your equipment and your time under the night sky.
Here’s what you’ll find:
Astrophotography: My images, the objects I capture and the stories behind them.
Processing tutorials: Step-by-step workflows to help you bring out the best in your data.
Practical advice: Equipment reviews, setup guides, troubleshooting and techniques developed through real-world experience.
Practice data: Real imaging datasets to help you develop your processing skills.
One-to-one tuition: Personalised guidance tailored to your experience, equipment and goals.
The Astrobloke Channel
You may already know me from YouTube, where I share my astrophotography journey, from emission nebulae and distant galaxies to equipment reviews, observatory projects and image-processing tutorials.
My approach is straightforward: share what works, explain what doesn’t, and show what’s possible with the equipment and data available to you.
Astrophotography isn’t about having the most expensive equipment or producing a perfect image every time. It’s about understanding the process, learning from experience and making the most of every clear night.
Beyond the Images
For me, astrophotography is about more than the finished photograph. It’s about the challenge of capturing something unimaginably distant, the satisfaction of solving technical problems, and the continual process of learning and improving.
There’s always another target to explore, another technique to master and another image waiting to be created.
If you share that curiosity about the universe, enjoy learning new techniques or simply want to see what’s possible when we point our cameras towards the stars, you’re in the right place.
Thanks for being part of the journey.
Clear skies,
Astrobloke
